Taste: According to ancient Ayurvedic texts, there
are 6 tastes found in food – sweet, sour, salty, bitter,
pungent, and astringent – and each of these is said to have a
specific influence on the body, mind and emotions. Spicy foods,
for example, are said to open the channels of the body, while
enlivening the mind and emotions. Sweet tastes, on the other
hand, are said to build the tissues of the body, while calming
or pacifying the mind and emotions. From an Ayurvedic
perspective, containing a balance of these tastes is therefore
beneficial for a broad-cased nutritional supplement. Through
containing botanicals such as amalaki, haritaki, and schizandra,
